On around 1:10 pm the Sturgeon Bay Police Department received a call from the housekeepers of Best Western after they found suspicious things in a room including equipment, drug paraphernalia, and chemicals. A 33 year old Green Bay man was arrested because he was suspected of making meth. After spending a minute in the room, the officers knew that they were dealing with a small "mobile" meth lab. The Door- Kewaunee Drug Task Force was called, and the north wing of the motel was evacuated for the police and investigations to take over. “Those agents are trained in the collection and removal and taking down of meth labs,” Brinkman said. “So they did that and they collected what they needed to collect and also notified a hazardous materials disposal team from Chicago.” This was the first meth lab that Brinkman had seen in 26 years. The suspect was also arrested in 1999 and 2002 because of other drug possessions.
